J. Weinberger's article "Cheap Dynamic Instruction Counting" in AT&T Bell Laboratories Technical Journal, Vol. 63, No. 8, October 1984. This profiler inserts basic block counting code into the assembler output of a C compiler. Included are routines for reporting the results. I need a version for the Motorola 68000. I am also interested in other similar profilers which are simple to port to a non-UNIX System V machine. Thanks for your help. John C.
