Don Acton noted that he would be unhappy is unions and companies weren't allowed to make political contributions. I don't mind the contributions themselves but I'm unhappy about the tax deductibility. I don't feel they are really legitimate expenses. At least I don't feel they should be considered such. On the otherhand, individual people are allowed tax deductions for political contributions, so there's a good argument in favour of it.
