Message-ID: <8601161648.AA06430@suadb.UUCP> Date: Fri, 17-Jan-86 16:20:02 EST Article-I.D.: suadb.8601161648.AA06430 Posted: Fri Jan 17 16:20:02 1986 Date-Received: Sat, 18-Jan-86 11:13:41 EST Sender: daemon@ucbvax.BERKELEY.EDU Organization: The ARPA Internet Lines: 21 Approved: laser-lovers@washington.arpa A Swedish CS research institute, SISU, are planning to buy an Apple LaserWriter. To my knowledge, it is available from at least two sources: Our local Apple dealer supplies the LaserWriter, and Adobe will license them to use the TranScript software, OR, the Swedish distributor for Sun Microsystems offers a "Sun LaserWriter" package, which to their knowledge is identical to the Apple+TranScript. Now my questions: Is the Sun LaserWriter different from Apple LaserWriter + TranScript? In what way? If you find this question out-of-date or unheard-of, please tell me so. If there is just one simple choice for any sensible person, please tell me what it is. The information does not seem to be available here. --Bertil Hansson Department of Information Processing and Computer Science, University of Stockholm, S-106 91 STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN UUCP: {seismo,mcvax,cernvax,diku,ircam,prlb2,tut,ukc,unido}!enea!suadb!bha ARPA: enea!suadb!bha@seismo VOICE: Nat 08-16 35 60 Int +46 8 16 35 60
