I originally sent that response quite a long time (over a year, when I was still working at SRI) ago. Since then, the VMS people have had archiving explained to them, and decided that maybe it sounds like a good idea. The DECUS where the "What's archiving" response was received WAS NOT the most recent decus in anaheim. I beleive it was the DECUS just after the DECUS where they anounced the jupiter cancelation.
