My example was meant to show Adrian that he ought not to use global utilitarianism as a starting point for his argument(s) against killing adult humans. That argument has moved to net.philosophy, and you are welcome to join us there. I am quite familiar with both sides of the abortion issue. I prefer not to publicize my position here and now. I have yet to make a statement (pro or con) about abortion.
