If your car does not have an indicator for burned-out bulbs, check for
reflections off your house, bushes, etc at night.  In general, it would
be good if gasoline station attendants would check brake lights.  They
used to be called service stations.  Maybe everyone should ask to have
the lights checked when they buy gas.
