If so, this could be the source of your noise when you turn the steering all the way right, or left. I've experienced it with my cars and contribute it to either a safety by-pass valve opening up at limit, or to a slipping belt to the power steering pump that slips because there is more torque on the pump when the steering wheel is at its limit. -- Albert H.
