I never found the real cause of the problem though. It could also be in the mysterious EPA emmision devices which are confused as to whether the engine is up to temperature or not. The problem would go away in about a mile so I never pursued what it was caused by. My truck would not have any power when this was happening either. Sounds like we had/have the same problem.
