yes atc will give you permission to do aerobatics in contrlled
airspace, but naturally near SFO or San Jose. By the way I`m
from Bombay but learnt to fly here. Have an IFR and manage
to keep it current. There's a great little glider
field 5 miles from where i live so if
you come to Fl mail me and maybe we can  get together.
