There have been several recent complaints about receiving RLOGIN during
the initial handshake with uucp.  For Sys V (I don't know about BSD), this
is the indication that the authentication in USERFILE has failed.  This
can happen due to strange errors.  In one case I dealt with, it was a
multiple userid->uid translation in /etc/passwd.  One that was recommended
by the vendor!
