On the other hand, if you have DTR >permanently wired high, then the problem you report will occur. **** I can verify this, as we had the same problem until I ripped out the existing 4 wire RS232 cables and put in some 8 wire cables. (Pass pins 2 through 8 and 20.) If you replace the cables, don't forget to reconfigure your modems to look for DTR, or the problem won't go away. -- -- Ronald O.
