   "First Comics is listing circulation figures for some of its titles,
 and the first two to come to our attention were:

                        AMERICAN FLAGG! 43,624
                          GRIMJACK 35,537

   "BATMAN...announced a total average paid circulation of 75,303 for 
 the same period.  For a direct-sales-only title to have a circulation 
 amounting to about 58% of that of such a well-known newsstand title,
 something must be going well for independent titles."

 These sales figures actually show how poorly BATMAN is selling.  For an
 almost universally recognized character like Batman to sell so few copies
 is hard to believe.  Perhaps the film will help the Dynamic Duo's sales.


 Incidentally, I just read that Adam West is 'looking forward to being 
 reunited with his Batman co-star Burt Ward in the upcoming Batman 
 feature film.'
