I am looking for any information of the "new" video camcorders that have been
out on the market for a couple of months now. (make, models, prices, etc.)

These are the ones that are truly "portable" and that use a standard size
video cassette.  I have been to a few dealers and there seems to be a difference
of opinion.

I will post a summary of results.
