Message-ID: <312@decwrl.DEC.COM> Date: Wed, 8-Jan-86 00:32:03 EST Article-I.D.: decwrl.312 Posted: Wed Jan 8 00:32:03 1986 Date-Received: Thu, 9-Jan-86 00:08:47 EST Organization: Digital Equipment Corp., Palo Alto, CA Lines: 17 [One of my extra slices of toast for the line eater.] I've had the gimmes for a microwave for awhile, so, tonight I went shopping. Only, instead of a microwave, I got a GE Omni, which is a combination small microwave, broiler, baker, microwave&baker, toaster. Sooooo cuuuuute, I couldn't resist. I've tried microwaving coffee (okay) and making toast. It takes 4 minutes to produce a piece of toast that's VERY dry, not brown, warm but not warm enough to melt butter when set for 1 slice of medium toast. So, I tried the microwave&bake combo and after 2 minutes got about the same thing. It isn't a patch on a real toaster. Is this what a toaster oven normally does to toast? Or, is this thing broke? (At least they have a 60 day exchange policy if it's a Mistake.) I seem to recall someone asking recently about dehydraders -- have I got a pointer for you.....
