We plan to present a paper at ICC in June on a Ethernet/Fasnet (Local Area Network/Metropolitan Area Network) gateway which we have designed, and is presently being built. Our thinking is that where speed is of the essence, it is important to bring as much intellegence as possible to the lower levels of hardware and protocol.
