If I write a program, why don't I have the right to distribute it and reap the profits? In both cases, I can also limit the distribution. I can say that if you don't pay, you don't benefit. (There are no laws saying free public libraries must exist.) It seems to me that you have to either abolish the rights of *all* producers to benefit from what they produce, or you have to give up this "making a living from programming is evil" attitude.
