The United States is not a part of that history of invasion. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I may be splitting hairs(:/), but the US has sent troops across a Russian border for the purpose of removing the government in power. That action constitutes an invasion. Certainly Russia invaded Afghanistan, declaration of war or not.
