I scurried up and down levels frantically looking for a Nymph or scroll of remove curse, but my food ultimately ran out. The interesting thing was that, after I had got to the fainting stage, I "floated gently to the ground" while still wearing the ring. This was a boon, but I fainted again, and a giant beatle came up and did me in. If I had stayed on (over?) a square with food on it, I would have eventually floated down and been able to eat it. I suppose I would have then floated up in the air all over again!? Question? Do rings run down of there own accord, or was the failure due specifically to my fainting state? Will all rings fail if one is fainting? Someone recently remarked that objects to be polymorphed can all be piled on the same square. My experience is that this does not work. When I tried it, only the top item was polymorphed. I wasted two wands of polymorph trying to make some diamonds this way. We have 1.0.3 on Berkeley 4.2. Michael Stimac
