It appears to be exactly what we require for doing backups on our machine. There is though a couple of questions that I would like answered about it. 1. If you backup the whole system onto 7 tapes and you want to recover a file on the seventh tape, do you have to read in the whole 7 tapes in order to reco- ver the file, or can you just mount the last tape and recover from it? 2. Is the program machine dependant or will it run on any machine? (our machine is a GEC 63 -40 running AT&T unix system v release2.0 ) 3. How much does the bru backup system cost ? 4.
