Wilson) Organization: North Carolina Educational Computing Service Lines: 21 We are currently bringing up a uVAX system for doing image processing on ion microscope and SEM images. One of the areas which we are working on is image restoration of ion images. I would like to hear (by mail) from any of you out there who have done or are doing any image restoration work. I would especially like to hear your opinion on the real performance of different restoration schemes. Currently we are looking at a simple Jansson-van Cittert type of restoration and a maximum entropy method based on a statistical thermodynamic model of our image forming process. If you have available examples of image restoration programs or know of the availability of such, please let me know. Currently the only software we have for this is from VICAR. A significant response will be summarized to the net. Thanks in advance. Douglas C. Wilson dcw@ecsvax Dept. of Chemistry University of NC Chapel Hill, NC 27514 -- Douglas C.
