I believe that there exists, and i think from Kantronics, a "SWL" equivalent to the UTU, which has the transmit portions of the box removed, and probably has not been beefed up from a RFI susceptibility standpoint. So, if you NEVER plan to use the beast for transmitting, you might consider this. I will try to find the ad i saw for this.
