SALARY		1985-86	salary:	Assistant Professor (step 1):	$29,485
				Professor (step 5):		$50,100
		1986-87	salary is dependent on collective bargaining
			negotiations.

QUALIFICATIONS	Doctorate in Computer Science or closely related field, and
		proven teaching ability at the undergraduate level.

DEPARTMENT	Four full-time faculty in our own building, offering the B.S.
		degree in Computer Science.  Computing facilities include
		local Cyber 720, Prime 9750, AT&T 3B5 systems, central Cyber
		170-760 in Los Angeles and departmental PDP 11/44 UNIX,
		micro computer and graphics facilities.  The department is
		very active and has about 250 majors.

CAMPUS		CSU Stanislaus is a liberal arts university with applied and
AND AREA	professional studies.  The university has a 4-1-4 semester
		calendar, featuring a Winter Term which concentrates on a
		single innovative course during January.  Thanks to its size
