Thinking Machines Corporation is looking for a systems wizard. The
principal responsibility of the employee will be to keep things
running, where "things" include a couple of VAXen running 4.2bsd,
LSI-11 terminal concentrators, Symbolics LispMachines, a couple of
laserprinters, and any new hardware we acquire.

The position requires someone with diverse knowledge and experience.
Prior experience maintaining a Unix machine is essential, since it is
the foremost responsibility.  Knowledge of networking is important,
preferably both TCP/IP and CHAOSnet.  Knowing PDP-11 machine language
would be extremely helpful.  Symbolics LispMachine experience would also
be very helpful but is by no means required.  You must be interested in
doing systems programming and maintenance.

Thinking Machines is a young science-driven research and development
corporation in the field of artificial intelligence (and a really
neat place to work).  We are also building a massively parallel computer,
