I think I read this on the net a little while ago, and the translation
I remember is that "Pravda nyet Izvestia, Izvestia nyet Pravda"
meant- There is no truth in the NEWS and no news in the TRUTH
(Pravda= Russian for News  Izvestia= Russian for Truth)

Anyway, I think it it is funnier this way.
