Be able to communicate > with a valley girl? Know APL? > Here's some from this weeks San Jose Mercury News: "The Apple" - The pits. Futuristic musical with an idiotic plot, worse acting. Treat as if poisoned. "Day of the Animals" - Forest creatures go beserk when the Earth's ozone layer is depleted and attack backpackers in California. Sounds logical. "The Barretts of Wimpole Street" - How do I bore thee? Let me count the ways... A sappy soaper about the romance between Robert Browning and the ailing Elizabeth Barrett. "Abbott & Costello Meet Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde" - And have a howl of a good time. "Agent for H.A.R.M." - Fearsome fungus frightens foolish earthlings. "Assassin of Youth" - Marijuana smokers lure a girl into their lifestyle. "Happy Birthday to Me" - By the time you find out who did it, you won't care. "Metalstorm: The Destruction of Jared-Syn" - Futuristic cop travels to remote planet to stop evil war lord - the title's longer than the plot. "Paradise" - A couple of untalented cutie-pies grope each other silly in this dumb "Blue-Lagoon" rip-off about adolescent love. "Razorback" - An uncommonly large version of a wild Australian pig attacks an old man and takes off with his grandchildren. "Reckless" - Miserable, flashy nonsense about a rebel without a brain who inspires a pretty, middle-class girl to rebel against convention.
