It works reasonably well; I have used it only on a small system. Major problems are: its syntax is "slightly nonstandard", and it continues even after an error message. There is a commercial Make called PolyMake that doesn't have either of these problems. However, the public domain version is slightly more compact, which makes a difference if you try to run it under under an Epsilon shell buffer.
