Western Australia Lines: 17 Keywords: Canonical Radical I have been using SMP to generate Rach coefficents and the results have contained large, messy radical expressions of rational numbers. After some thought on how to reduce these expressions I asked myself "Is there a canonical form for such radical expressions?". I have not seen a discussion of this problem. Is there such a form? Are there any papers on this topic? Are there any algorithms for reducing these expressions? Any information on this problem would be appreciated?
