However it is not illegal to sell PARTS of your blood,
like platelets, which is done in many cities.  Of course
the places that do this ARE filled with winos and poor
college students.  I know back in Gainesville, FL in 1979
the going rate was $17 per donation, with at least two weeks
(I believe) between donations.  There were adds in the paper
for it.
