For the last ten years I have had annoying tinnitus, or ringing in the
ears, accompanied by hearing loss for the higher frequencies.
I think it was caused by a heavy dose of Kantrex, a amminoglycoside
drug that a Mexican Doctor friend gave me for a stubborn case of 
Prostatitis.  
My question:  Can anything be done about tinnitus?  My current internist 
says there is absolutely nothing that can be done.
