But with 96tpi 5-1/4 drives multiplying like rabbits and diving in price, the thought naturally occurs - what problems would I encounter? Has anyone else attempted this? Anciliary questions come to mind: Does every Amiga external drive require its own controller, or are the external 3-1/2 and 5-1/4 drives using the internal controller? If so, how many drives, and of what type, can the controller support? Are the connection specs available from Commodore, so that this could be attempted?? At as little as 65-70 dollars for a 96tpi 800M drive, why hasn't anybody done it yet?? -- =========================================================================== ... only a hollygram, but one more is gone. =========================================================================== randy groves ...!uw-beaver!uw-june!bcsaic!randy
