The first thing I noticed was that in hi res mode, the flicker was very objectionable, at least to me. Otherwise, it seems to be a very nice machine. The reason I am posting this note is that the dealer said that his "contact" at Commodore told him that the flicker problem was caused by a "bug in the operating system" and would be fixed "real soon now" by a rev. to the o.s. or a replacement to the graphics chip. What I would like to know is, is this possible or likely? It seems to me that the basic problem is the use of interlace, so I don't know if these fixes would work. Is flicker in hi res mode something we must live with to get the other neat features of the Amiga? I would by an Amiga now, but if a fix is forthcoming, I would probably wait. Thanks for any info/advice. Dave McLin .../decvax/mcnc/rtisel/dmm .
