If you can find them, the following issues of Softalk had articles on double Hi-Res: "Hi-Res Double Play" by Don Worth July, 1983 -A good overview of how the double hi-res display works and how it differs from standard hi-res. Includes example Applesoft programs to put the concepts to use. "Applesoft Brushes for Double Hires" by Peter Baum and Larry Roddenberry September, 1983 -A more in-depth discussion of making use of DHR. Included is an assembly language listing to implement DHR versions of HPLOT graphics commands from Applesoft using the ampersand vector. (A friend of mine is customizing these routines for use in a NAPLPS implementation for the //.) Beagle Brothers puts out a disk that does similar things with DHR, the name of it escapes me at the moment. Nice thing is that BB never copy protect or lock up their disks, so you can look at every file to see how it ticks.
