You don't need the ACTION! cartrige in order to run programs written in ACTION!. If you have the ACTION! runtime package (about $30 from O.S.S.) then you can compile ACTION! programs into binary files which can be run directly from DOS. However, if you do not have the run time package then you will need the cartrige to run the programs. John
