Tomorrow is the day the K-Mart is meant to start selling ST's.
I was all set to get my ST, and then hesitated because of
being forced to choose colour OR high res.

The problem is:
when the ST boots, it checks to see if it is using a color
monitor.  If it is, then the ability to enter high-res mode is
disabled.  This annoys me.  Even if the figures are going to be
blurry, I would like to be able to use that mode.  Part 2 of the
problem is that I feel that one of the ST's big advantages over the
MAC is that it is a colour machine.  But, I can't have both.
Even if I did buy both the colour and monochrome monitors, I can't
have both of them plugged in at once.  I have to choose one or the
other.

Do I have all this informatation correct?????

A possible solution is/are the K-Mart ST's.  From what I hear, they
are going to also include an RF modulator.  The crux of the matter
is:  Will they also include all the hardware and connections to
drive the monitors?  If this is so, then I can buy my K-Mart ST,
plug in my colour TV, and buy the 70Hz monochrome that looks so
wonderful.  I get the best of everything.

So, as soon as somebody actually sees one of these beasties, or has 
an idea as to its capabilities, could you please post it to the net?
