It appears Atari will continue to support the 8 bit line. Information
has just recently gone out to retailers showing that atari is going
to release a new replacement for the 800xl which is the 65XE. In
addition they plan to introduce a boxed system including disk drive,
130XE, monitor and printer. It said to be priced cheaper than the
the C128 with disk drive, at 499.00. Atari still has big plans
for the 8 bit line..
