We recently opened one of our 6300's with the intention of replacing
the bad nicad battery on the motherboard.  Lo and behold we discovered
that the battery is soldered in!  The response from ATT was to replace the
entire motherboard.  Is anyone aware of an easier way to do this?
Any idea whay they chose to do it this way?  If not for the solder it looks
as if it would be easy to replace (it just fits between two metal connectors.)
