State University, Raleigh Lines: 23 I use the FAST LOAD cart. by EPXY (and recommend is highly) on my c64. It works well, however, it must be removed for some software packages to run. I want to install a switch on my c64 which will allow me to prevent the auto-start of a cart. (like FAST LOAD). I hope this will reduce the strain on the expansion port connector. My question is this: Does anyone know how the c64 determines whether an auto-start cart. is in the expansion port? I suspect that it simply checks the GAME and/or EXROM lines. If so, I should be able to install a switch that will ground these lines, making the auto-start cart. invisible to the c64. If anyone knows, please reply by mail. thanks in advance. -- ---------------------------------------- Kenneth Fernald decvax!mcnc!ncsu!kwf
