You risk magnetic interference from the Macintosh's power supply and video circuitry if you place the hard disk on the left side of the Macintosh" So Apple does admit that there is interference, at least as far as the HD20 is concerned. I think it is safe to assume that this applies to floppy drives as well. Andrew Shebanow
