Message-ID: <205@hropus.UUCP> Date: Wed, 8-Jan-86 15:03:12 EST Article-I.D.: hropus.205 Posted: Wed Jan 8 15:03:12 1986 Date-Received: Thu, 9-Jan-86 03:27:56 EST Organization: Bell Labs, Holmdel, NJ Lines: 25 When the first hard disk card came out last fall, it was interesting (10 meg for $1095). Then another computer make came out with 10 & 20 meg versions for about the same money - I said to myself, the competition starts, let's see what happens (since I was thinking of getting a hard disk for my AT&T 6300). In the latest PC Magazine is an ad for a 20 Meg Express Hard Disk Card(TM) for only $595. (Call toll free 800-341-7549 ext 2100. In Illinois, call 312 882-7733, ext 2100). If you have DOS 3.1, you can add this card to an existing disk system, and exceed 32 meg total storage. The ad also claims to have a better interleave than the XT,"... which means that you retrieve data 6 times faster...." When someone in netland gets their hands on one, comments will be appreciated. Thanx. -------------------------------- #include -------------------------------- Ihor Kinal houxm!hropus!ijk
