This is a short, public thank you to Sandra Jacobson and anyone else at
Microsoft who is responsible for the above "enhancement" to their upgrade
policy.  It is gratifying to see a vendor respond positively to customer
concerns with a win-win solution to a problem.  Hopefully, attitudes such
as this will continue to grow ... not only at Microsoft, but at other vendors
as well.  It's much more productive for *everyone* to have friendly vendor-
customer relationships rather than adversarial ones.
