A friend is trying to install a Seagate hard disk on an IBM PC.  I think
he is having (or will have) problems because the disk has never been run
through the "hard" formater, like the one that comes with the advanced
diognostics package.  Are there any public domain or cheap formatting
programs available to avoid the cost of the full diognostics package?
