Nope, I was in Europe when I observed the flickering, though I'll admit
it is even WORSE if you try to view 625/25 under 60 Hz illumination.
But that wasn't the case in Europe--everything there was 50 Hz and the
flicker was awful.  In fact, I've been getting a number
of messages from people that strongly agree with me regarding 625/25
flicker, so it seems I'm not alone with this opinion.
