ATARI quotes its price to be under $300. It should available at K-Mart and other mass market stores. For more information, check net.micro.atari. Now that the 520ST is available for a much cheaper initial outlay, it becomes THE micro to get for MIDI/computer applications. The 520ST used to be available only in a package that included the cpu/keyboard, one floppy disk drive, and a monitor. Formerly, the color package could be gotten for $850 and the B/W for $699. Now that the 520ST cpu/keyboard can be gotten for less than $300 and can be hooked up to any TV/monitor, more of us can afford to jump into the computer controlled MIDI scene with a very powerful microcomputer (we've waited long enough :-).
