I lived in the D.C. area when Metro opened and I remember reading in the newspaper an article about a pre-opening tour of the Metro that was giving to reporters. One of the reporters was from S.F. and he tried his Bart card and it worked! A Metro spokesperson later said this would be fixed but I don't know if it ever happened. lee
