Does anyone have any details? > > --- > Marc Majka Cold weather was hardly the issue; the event has traditionally been held on what is expected to be the coldest night. Rather, the event got cancelled when a task force that had been created by the University president to end the event recommended (surprise) that the event be cancelled. It's never really been clear why this all got stirred up; it has never been sponsored in any way by the University (word just spreads across campus the night it's going to happen) but two Resident Assistants lost their jobs last year because they were recognized while participating. Purdue is on a serious "limit the freedoms of students" bent this year, so this was no big surprise. It might still happen -- at the moment the weather is in the 50s, so it'll have to be a bit colder first. Cheers, chris
