Thanks in advance! I can't give you any info on jump schools in that area, but if one of them teaches the AFF method, I suggest you go there. In my opinion, it is much safer, more fun, and you'll learn much faster than if you go the static line route. The initial cost for the training and first few jumps is higher than the static line method, but it will take far fewer jumps to reach a given level of proficiency. Thus, the relative cost is good. One more thing: no matter where you go, make sure the school puts automatic activation devices on their students' reserves! I'm not trying to scare you out of jumping, but let's face it -- students are more prone to panic if an emergency situation should arise. Fortunately, it rarely does, but its a good idea to have that last bit of "insurance" just in case. Let us know about your first jump, OK?
