Half of the females indicated they had been touched, held or kissed against their will. One in ten women said they had been beaten or otherwise physically abused. Men were more likely to not believe dating partners who said they did not want sexual activity. Women were more likely to engage in sexual activity unwillingly because they thought it was inappropriate to refuse. Recent studies at St. Cloud State Unviersity, Kent State University, University of Rhode Island and a 1957 study at Ohio State University gave similar results. ____________________________________________________________________________ Source: Daily Campus (reported from Associated Press) A controlled study was done where some suspects were shown "soft-core" pornographic films and other people were shown "innocuous" films Those viewing the pornography rated satisfaction with their partners at 3.88 and those viewing the innocuous moview rated their satisfaction at 5.47.
