A similar situation contributed to the most terrifying Christmas Eve that I
ever had.  I can look back and laugh -- now.  I remember the dialogue
clearly:

both of us:  <period of stunned silence>.

she:  "Well, Merry Christmas!"


Since then (actually, before as well), I preferred to save condoms for those
unexpected situations that popped up. %-;   Beware of shelf-life though; I
don't know what it is, but I prefer to be ultra-safe.
