He's thinking of Chiron, I think. Charon is Pluto's moon. Chiron is a, well, an object, orbiting roughly between Saturn and Uranus. It's too small to qualify as a planet, really. Nobody is entirely sure just what it is, last I heard, although there is strong speculation that it may be a sort of super-comet that got deflected into its present orbit.
