I think that the Rose Bowl out drew the Sugar Bowl and Orange Bowl combined;
if not, it was very close.

This should have been posted to net.jokes.  I suppose that last year's
national championship being decided by BYU in the Holiday Bowl made it a
premier bowl?  Regional significance, my ***#$&! As long as the top Pac-10
and Big-10 teams are meeting, it may or may not decide the national
championship, but it will still be a VIG.

(Why this sticking point, Dennis?  Your article on the Bears-Giants game was
so insightful and masterful.)
